Find Utility



This is one of the most powerful tools that MP3 Manager offers. You will have better luck finding your MP3s with this than anything Windows Find can offer. Not only can you search for text in the filename, but you can specify to search in the MP3's title, artist, album, year, genre, bitrate, or comment fields, too!

Not only is the matching criteria robust, but so is the folder criteria. You have a choice of any real (hard drive, CD-ROM, network) drive.

Searching for files that have been created in the last 5 days? Between Christmas and New Year's? Larger than 6 megs? Smaller than 2 megs? No problem! Use the criteria from the Size/Date tab.

Complete the Search by pressing Enter or the Search button, and watch ShufflePlay do the rest. You can right-click on the results to move them to the Playlist, cut/copy them to the clipboard, or just erase them to try looking again.

Duplicate finder



This is one of the most usefull tool that MP3 Manager offers. This tool was created just because on every large music collection must be at least one duplicate file. So, why should you loose your time searching for this files. Just use duplicate finder. It will search for your duplicates even if the filename is not the same.

The only disadvantage of this tool is not searching network drives (because might takes days or months to search an wide network) but only local drives (hard drive, CD-ROM, removable drives). Anyway, if this doesn't botter you and you find it usefull, just let me know. After all, it's your choice and your time.

Complete the Search by pressing Enter or the Find button, and watch MP3 Manager do the rest. You can delete or move the results to nother directory.

Rename files


Download songs off the net and you will find that they use all sorts of crafty filenames: "(This_Song)_by_This_Artist.mp3", "Artist_-_Title.mp3", "Artist [Track #] Title - Year.mp3", etc? It's bad enough some probably aren't even tagged yet.

This is where the Rename Wizard comes in. You tell it what to expect "My Artist - Title.mp3" for example, and it will match those fields, tag the file, and then rename it to say "(My Artist) - Title.mp3".  

You are in control of how to format your filenames. Additional commands instruct MP3 Manager how to deal with files who don't have certain tags. You can tell it to rename it anyway, insert "unknown" in the name, or just leave it alone.

But wait, there's more! You can enter up to 5 import templates and up to 5 output templates. This allows you to successfully process more files at once. You can change all spaces to underscores, periods, or whatever floats your boat.  You can tell it to automatically capitalize words in the tag and filename.  You can insert your own tag comments overriding existing ones.  You can even tell it to change fields like "The Heeby Jeeveys Band" to "Heeby Jeeveys Band, The" for easier alphabetical searching.

You will be the envy of your friends. People will be asking you how you found the time to tag and rename all those files. Women will be falling over you at the next big social function. Okay, maybe not... but one can daydream right? :)

Publish


Another one of the most popular features of MP3 Manager is the text publisher. It is a whole lot better than using a DIR listing and more condensed than HTML.

Your publishing capabilities are as limitless as ever. With 12 fields to display, you can choose which fields to display and which to hide. Not only that: you can choose in which order, you'd like them displayed.

The fun doesn't end there. You can divide your file by folder or directory as well. This makes your playlist even easier to follow and a little easier for people to find things in the list.

A great help is the Preview button. It will generate your file into your Windows\Temp directory, then automatically open it in your default file viewer.

CD Writing

This new version also let you create your own Audio and MP3 CD. With a simple click, you can take your favorite songs wherever you want (in your car, at a party, etc). Using this future, you can also backup your music on CD, freeing the hard-disc space.

You can select the writing speed (choosing a slower one let you listen audio CD on older systems), erasing RW discs, close any open session or disc, create or burn an ISO image and much more.

Enhanced Player


The player was created to meet all the needs you've wanted. A customizable spectrum, 10 bands EQ with loadable and savable presets, stereo/mono/channel X playing, volume, muting and pitch control.
